KCP Creations Launch EIS Fund
KCP Creations have created an EIS fund, which offers IFAs clients an opportunity to invest in their intimate experience and knowledge of the music industry, to a new Music Industry in transition, expanding across the Creative Industries sector. The Fund is currently reviewing investment opportunities into Music, Creative technologies (Virtual Reality) and Film among other Creative Industry specialist areas.
Listing the Creative Industries EIS with Capital Platform and Capital Group International provides the EIS with the ideal marketing solution and ensures that the EIS is only promoted to persons who are authorised in accordance with FSMA.
Capital Platform has an established network of registered IFAs, wealth managers and family offices with an appetite for this type of alternative investment and makes it tax efficient for EIS investors.
The Creative Industries
The Creative Industries account for £92bn of GVA (Gross Added Value), 2million jobs and growing twice as fast as the economy as a whole (HM Government – Industrial Strategy -Creative Industries Sector Deal 2018)
UK record company trade income – revenues generated by sales and streams across all format and from syncs – rose 10.6 per cent to £839.5m in 2017, according to the BPI’s 2018 yearbook. The figures represent the highest rate of growth for the sector since 1995, and the increase was driven by 9.5 per cent growth in music consumption during 2017.
Exports from the UK music sector grew by 13 per cent to £2.5bn in 2016, underlining the UK’s position as the second largest provider of music repertoire in the world (according to Measuring Music 2017, the annual economic survey from UK Music).
Nicola Mendelsohn CBE, Co-Industry Chair of the Creative Industries Council, described Createch as the “next big thing for the UK creative industries“.
She said: “It will be increasingly hard to distinguish where the boundaries blur between creativity and technology. For creative technologies, early estimates suggest it’s already worth over 40% of our economic output and 27% of our jobs.
“This intersection is where we predict the fastest growth and increased competitiveness and greatest productivity will come from it in the years to 2020.
